PJ day for Ronald McDonald House.

The theme for the Lantern Festival this year was the moon, so as a class, we decided that our art for the Lanterns would have stars on them.

The stars were in connection to our learning for the end of term about Matariki.

Here are our lanterns.

We have been learning about Manaakitanga and what it means to us in Weka. What showing Respect and Caring for ourselves and others

looks like, feels like and sounds like.

We have been solving addition and subtraction problems with a buddy. We learnt about team work 
and using our Maths skills to count on and back to solve counting problems.

Harold came to Visit us at Kaniere School to teach us about how we can be bucket fillers by being kind to others and being part of a team.

We have been practising in our class and in the playground to be ‘Bucket fillers’ to our friends and always be kind.

We begin our day stretching, and moving our bodies so we are ready for learning.
